Biode
The wood for each Biode is selected and crafted to explore the properties buried beneath its surface, revealing time as growth rings along with other innate nuances. The outcropping ‘branch’ represents a fractal occurrence to a new ‘now’ and echoes how trees grow in a landscape. Each Biode is unique and has its bottom charred and burnished to signify the unknown of the infinite. It is stamped with the logo of Alternative Woodworks with the date and the name of the species of wood and finished with a polish of oil or lacquer.
